About this calculator
Convert height between centimeters, meters, feet, and inches for forms, travel documents, or fitness logs. Type a metric or imperial value; the other side updates from the same total length so you do not keep a second chart open.
Optional weight can show a BMI side note for context. BMI is a screening ratio from height and weight, not a body-composition scan, and this page remains a unit tool — not a pediatric growth chart or medical assessment of stature.
Use consistent posture and time of day when comparing measurements over months. Morning height can differ slightly from evening height after spinal compression through the day. Passport and sports forms often want feet-inches and cm on the same line — convert once and copy both.
How It Works & Formula
Total inches equal feet times 12 plus leftover inches; centimeters equal total inches times 2.54. The inverse divides centimeters by 2.54, then splits total inches into floor(feet) and remainder inches. Meters equal centimeters divided by 100. Optional BMI, when shown, is weight in kilograms divided by height in meters squared.
