About this calculator
A QR code is a matrix barcode. Phones read the payload from the dark and light modules. Type a URL, a short note, or a Wi-Fi SSID. Error correction L/M/Q/H trades capacity for damage tolerance. Version 10 is the longest payload this engine encodes.
How It Works & Formula
Byte mode packs UTF-8, then Reed-Solomon ECC. The mask with the lowest penalty score is kept. Wi-Fi uses the WIFI:T:;S:;P:;H:;; URI.
